'Our Lady of Knock' Medal
Religious souvenir of Knock.
Believed to have been struck at the request of the Nun of Kenmare who was resident in Knock from 1881-1883.
Medal depicting the Knock Apparition scene, dark brown in colour, made of copper alloy and measuring 1.25" in diameter. Bearing the inscriptions on the reverse side: 'THE APPARITION AT KNOCK CHAPEL CO. MAYO' and 'BLESSED IMMACULATE MOTHER ST. JOSEPH AND ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST PRAY FOR US'
