Offensive weapon: Believed to have been used in the rebellion of 1798 by a member of the Mangan family of Castlebar.
Presented to Fr. Jack O Neill, by his Martin relatives. Fr. O Neill in turn presented it to his cousin, the late Bishop Philbin who donated it to the Museum in 1989.
