Various Saws

The Museum has a collection of saws including the following:

  • Bow Saw - It was used for cutting around circles such as chair legs.

  • Cross Cut Saw - Designed for one or two men to operate.

  • Danarm Saw - It is probably one of the first chain-saws made by Daniel Strand. It was used to cut timber and firewood.

  • Pit Saw - It was used mostly for cutting the tree trunks into planks.
